Mark Akeroyd

Got involved in lawn mower racing in year 2000 after chatting with a group of guys at the Leman 24hr race in France . After camping next to them for 3 years I discovered they were only a few miles away from where I lived in the UK and that they were involved in lawn mower racing . This i hade to check out and once I did I was hooked.

Raced a number of times sharing a group 4 in the Double 3hrs , Double 4hr and the WLMRA 6hrs. I began in the club assisting with new timing system and helping in running events. Then proposed and implemented the commentary and event radio for the 12hr.

Have continued to involve myself as much as possible with all events since becoming a member. Joined the committee in 2022 also Chairman of the 12hr committee.
